In 1997, the band had enough originals to put out its first solid album entitled, "Please Step Away from the Groove". The band hit the studio and had the album ready for release by the end of 1997. 1998 through 1999 saw the band play over 250 shows and 420 Blues quickly became a mainstay in the Denton/Dallas music scene.
